To provide our AI-powered commenting automation services on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn, we collect and process the following data:

• Page Content: When you activate the extension to generate a comment, we temporarily read the text content of the specific social media post (tweet or LinkedIn post) you are interacting with.
• User Settings: We collect your preferences, custom prompts, and extension settings configured within the Flejet dashboard or popup.
• Authentication Data: If you log in via our website (flejet.vercel.app), we collect standard authentication information (such as your email or login ID) to link your account and subscription status.
• We do not collect your passwords, browsing history outside of activated posts, or social media login credentials.

3. Data Handling and Storage

We handle and store your data with strict security measures:

• Local Storage: Your user preferences, custom AI prompts, and extension configurations are stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in local storage. This data remains on your machine.
• Cloud Storage: Account authentication details and subscription states are securely stored on our backend servers to synchronize your access across devices.
• Transient Processing: Social media post content read by the extension is handled temporarily in memory and sent directly to the AI provider to generate a response. This content is not saved or permanently stored on our servers.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We strictly limit the sharing of your data. We only share user data with the following third parties necessary to provide our core functionality:

• Google Gemini API: The specific text of the social media post you wish to comment on is sent securely to the Google Gemini API to generate the AI response.
• Firebase (Google Cloud): We use Firebase for secure backend authentication and database hosting for your user account details.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data, browsing history, or usage data to any other third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

5. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed. Communication between the extension, our backend, and the AI providers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
